Explanation
The following Code sections were prepared by Friends of Harford members to assist us in developing and presenting our recommendations for the Work Group sessions. Sections will be added as they are scheduled for Work Group discussion. The draft text resulting from the Work Group will be presented to the public about April 2008 by Planning & Zoning.
- The black text in each section is the revised draft zoning code text prepared by Planning & Zoning.
- Differences between that draft and the current approved zoning code are highlighted in yellow marker.
- Friends of Harford recommendations for that section of the code are marked in blue text.
We hope you find this helpful in understanding the process. The new draft code is considerably reorganized from the approved code. It is sometimes difficult to follow all the changes. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our recommendations.
New!! If you are more comfortable looking at a list of all the changes between the Current Zoning Code and the initial draft code (prepared by Planning & Zoning), we also have this view on the bottom of this page, thanks to exemplary work by one of our members. This project was undertaken when we found it was not available from the county government. We are sharing it with the public in the hope that it may be useful to you. As with everything we do, this is our best attempt by our all volunteer organization. We welcome any additions or corrections. New!!
