Friends of Harford News
- Transportation Element Plan Friends of Harford sent detailed comments on this draft plan to Planning and Zoning and the County Executive. Few of our comments appear to have been adopted into the bill sent to the County Council, so we are presenting them to the Council for consideration as amendments. Here are our key concerns for discussions with councilmembers. Read more on the TEP in the Little Gunpowder Improvement Association (LGIA) Fall 2009 newsletter.
- Read our letter to the County Council opposing Bill 09-029, Removal of the Impact Fee.
- Stormwater management code revision. The Harford County Department of Public Works is revising Section 214 of the County Code, Stormwater Management, to comply with the state of Maryland recently revised and updated Stormwater Management Design Manual and COMAR Regulations. At the request of Friends of Harford, the Department of Public Works made a copy of the draft Ordinance available to the public and held a public meeting on Oct. 29, at which Friends of Harford presented oral and written comments on the draft section. FOH also asked DPW for a written response to the public's comments and to provide a copy of the proposed Ordinance when it was sent to Maryland Department of the Environment for review. We hope that DPW will also share Maryland's response with us when it is received.
